Classic ballet shoes are usually tailor-made for professional dancers. The pointe shoes required for dancing are available in different degrees of hardness. Depending on the ballet, harder or softer pairs are preferred.
Classification of the category ballet shoes
Ballet shoes, the dream of every little dancer. Many have kept them as adults as memories of childhood. Ballet shoes are typically made of pink satin with a soft suede or nappa sole. They are carried to ballet exercises.
Requirements and different models
It is important that the foot in the shoes is well movable and soft unrollable. The sole gives way slightly on the smooth parquet of balletts, but slows down too much slipping.
Ballet shoes for children are mainly worn by girls and are similar to conventional gymnastic briefs. Ballet shoes for teenagers or adults are available for both ladies and gentlemen. The women’s models are white, silver, gold and pink, men’s models are more in the colors black, white and dark blue.
More advanced ballerinas wear so-called pointe shoes. These are ballet shoes that are reinforced in the tips by a stiff insert. This is very uncomfortable during normal walking, but allows for a longer period of time balancing and spinning directly on the toes. Pointe shoes are usually supplied with long, same-colored satin ribbons that are tied over the ankle and ensure an optimal hold of the shoe on the foot.
